Venue Crew is an established venue-finding service with a strong presence in the wedding market. It wanted to leverage its experience and resources to break into the corporate and private events markets.

The Opportunity

Venue Crew was launched as a sister brand by Easy Weddings in 2020 to appeal to corporates and those seeking a blue-chip venue for a wedding or an event. There was no clear vision for the brand, no distinct segments had been identified, and there was significant overlap with the Easy Weddings brand. This led to internal confusion about what the brand stood for, and both brands effectively cannibalising each other in the marketplace.

The Objective

Demonstrate to the market that Venue Crew was not another ‘noticeboard’ type venue matching website but a service-driven company that took care to see that those organising an event were paired with a venue suited to their requirements that would deliver an experience that would exceed expectations.

The Brief

Create a visually stunning brand that would signal to those requiring a quality venue for a corporate function or wedding that Venue Crew provides a premium-level service that can pair them with a venue suited to their needs.

The Strategy

An audit of all existing brand assets was conducted, and we ran a workshop with Venue Crew and Easy Weddings to understand what separated them and where the overlaps were. We identified that Venue Crew’s service-oriented approach delivered a significant point of difference for both venue and client segments. A clear value proposition and brand position was developed along with messaging to suit. A new logo that visually showcased Venue Crew’s focus on service was created, and a tagline ‘For Moments that Matter’ was adopted. Eye-catching graphics, a striking colour palette, and a bold photographic style were established to showcase a confident brand, catching the eye of its chosen audience and driving sales.
